PolyOne OnFlex™ LO TPEs Awarded for Low VOC Technology that Improves the Automotive Interior Experience
OnFlex LO, PolyOne’s newest ground-breaking TPE technology, reduces volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by up to 50 percent versus existing TPEs, and minimizes fogging and odor in interior automotive components.
While our existing TPEs lead the industry in low emissions performance, we continue to innovate and anticipate future demands and stricter requirements.

Using phase barriers made of Avient’s OnFlex™ S HF, HF 7001, and Synprene or Synprene™ RT
thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) will help you deliver on that promise.
Easier to install – Our TPEs are more flexible than
nylon and flexible PVC, which makes the MCCB
easier to install, service and inspect.
Low moisture absorption – While nylon is water-
absorbent and loses dielectric performance in the
presence of excessive water, our TPEs exhibit low
moisture absorption and maintain the necessary
dielectric properties over the MCCB’s service life.

https://www.avient.com/sites/default/files/2022-04/Versaflex XP Wet Grip Product Bulletin_NEW.pdf
Versaflex™ XP Wet Grip Thermoplastic Elastomer
Typically, when TPEs get wet, the kinetic coefficient
of friction (COF) performance is worse, resulting in a
slippery surface.
The Versaflex™ XP 2850 formulation
is a specialty TPE developed to meet the challenge
of wet environments, offering nearly double its dry
kinetic COF when wet for better grip performance.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
• Excellent COF performance (both wet and dry)
• Outstanding abrasion and UV resistance
• Easily colorable
• Custom formulations available to achieve
specific performance properties
• Injection moldable (can be overmolded)
and extrudable
• Retains properties and performance when
immersed in salt water
MARKETS & APPLICATIONS
This grip-enhancing TPE is colorable and
customizable to meet the look and functional
requirements of a broad range of consumer
applications.
