Complēt™ MT Long Fiber Composites
Long fiber reinforced composites are renowned for their ability to provide high-impact resistance which enables them to be a solution for a variety of demanding applications. Complēt MT (Maximum Toughness) takes long fiber material performance to the next level with long glass, carbon and hybrid (glass + carbon) fiber-reinforced nylon (polyamide) composites.
Complēt MT offers maximum toughness with notched impact resistance up to 20% higher than standard long fiber materials. Longer fiber length retention provides more surface area for the polymer and fiber to interact – allowing for more efficient energy transfer between the polymer and fiber. This, in turn, increases impact resistance and defends against crack propagation.
These impact-boosted materials are for use in applications with high cyclical usage and physical demand, especially with drop testing requirements or repetitive impact during use. They also perform well in cold environments, positioning themselves as a great outdoor solution for metal replacement.
Markets include Tools & Hardware (handles, battery enclosures), Sports & Fitness (protective guards, athletic equipment components), Transportation (automotive structural brackets), Recreational Vehicles (seating components) and Industrial (material handling structures).
