SHANGHAI, China – June 27, 2023 – Today, Avient Corporation is expanding its reSound™ BIO bio-based and reSound™ REC recycled content Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) portfolios with the launch of a new range of halogen-free flame-retardant (HFFR) grades containing recycled and bio-based resin.
Besides relying on the verified halogen-free technology of all flame-retardant reSound TPEs, Avient’s new low-PCF HFFR formulations include two reSound BIO grades with up to 45% bio-based content and one reSound REC FR grade with up to 30% PCR content.

between 16 and 47 percent natural filler from
renewable plant-based raw materials, reducing
the carbon footprint value significantly at the
beginning of the product lifecycle.
Nymax BIO low
water absorption PA formulations provide
excellent dimensional stability and property
retention after conditioning, solving the problem
of water uptake (hygroscopy) for finished parts.
Additional draft may be required for
grained/textured surfaces.
