This latest addition to the Additives for Recycling (A4R) portfolio of solutions helps bring incompatible polymers, such as PP and PE, together by forming them into a homogenous polymer mixture that increases mechanical properties based on polymer modification and will be exhibited at the upcoming Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing.

Additional iterations are in development for other high-performance resins, including polyethersulfone (PES) and polysulfone (PSU).

Eight of the new grades can be overmolded on polypropylene (PP) and the ninth grade bonds to both PP and polyethylene (PE).

Or, you can choose OnColor WC Choice colorants for EVA and PE resins – a cost-effective alternative in standard stock colors for shorter lead times and smaller minimum orders.

Compared to rubber and silicone alternatives, they simplify manufacturing with single-step fabrication, reducing the energy used in production, and can be overmolded directly onto a range of non-polar polymer substrates including PP and PE.  

Available as a granular masterbatch for injection molding, thermoforming or extrusion, these new additives offer superior performance for most clear polymers, including polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polystyrene (PS).

PE overmolding can be achieved with our Dynalloy™ OBC 8000 T grades.
