These properties offer manufacturers
a high-performing, cost-competitive, and more
eco-conscious alternative to nylons.
These materials also offer a sustainability benefit
through a reduced carbon footprint because PK
base resin production emits up to 61 percent less
carbon dioxide (CO2) than nylon, helping to improve
sustainability over the end-product lifecycle.
When processing,
these have similar shrink to nylons, set up quickly,
and have short cycle times.

Versaflex™ TF Adhesive TPE solutions, developed
for adhesive films in laminations with nylon and
polyester textile fabrics, enable brand owners
and OEMs to create a new generation of soft,
stretchable, and breathable fabrics for athletic
apparel such as sportswear and underwear.
Compared to
TPU adhesive films and traditional glue, these new
TPE solutions can deliver a seamless and strong
adhesion to polyester and nylon fabrics, enabiling
a uniform thickness and overall appearance for an
athletic, close-fitting, and non-bruising finish.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
• High-wearing comfort and elastic recovery
• Strong and seamless adhesion to polyester and
nylon fabrics
• Passed OEKO-TEX 100-2 testing
• Excellent washability at up to 60°C
• Non-toxic formulations with low volatile
organic compounds (VOC) and without added
plasticizers
• Attractive alternative to conventional TPU
adhesive film and glue
MARKETS & APPLICATIONS
Versaflex TF Adhesive TPE solutions have been
custom engineered for:
• Elastic strips in underwear
• Seam tapes in sports and fitness apparel

In addition to these high-performance
characteristics, this healthcare portfolio offers a
reduced carbon footprint over the product life cycle
because PK production emits up to 61 percent less
carbon dioxide (CO2) than nylon.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
• Excellent chemical resistance
• Low moisture uptake
• Comparable dimensional stability to nylon
• Reinforced with 10–33% glass fill
• High impact and wear resistance
• Eco-conscious alternative to PA66 and PA6
MARKETS & APPLICATIONS
Whether using a standard or customized
formulation, the PK-based Trilliant grades provide
a high-performing, cost-competitive, and more
eco-conscious alternative to competitive materials
found in biopharmaceutical processing, hospital
settings, and home healthcare applications.
