CLEVELAND – October 28, 2019 – PolyOne today announced the launch of reSound™ OM (overmolding) thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), the latest addition to its sustainable solutions portfolio. In addition, the new grades feature easy colorability, a major requirement for applications such as cosmetics packaging, personal care products, and consumer electronics.

This can occur due to improper injection molding conditions or the incompatibility of a TPE or vulcanized silicone material with certain additives. In addition, the materials’ outstanding mold release improves cycle times, reducing overall energy use to support manufacturers in reaching their sustainability goals.

This Zodiac Libra silicone ink portfolio includes bases, additives, ready-for-use (RFU) colors, toner colors, pigment concentrates, and special effect inks. Bases and additives are used to produce soft hand, high stretch or other performance characteristics

CLEVELAND – PolyOne Corporation today announced the launch of SynPrime™ Lubricant Esters, a family of synthetic base oils and additives featuring customizable diverse chemistries for automotive, aviation and industrial lubricant applications. Ten additional chemistries will be commercialized throughout the remainder of 2016 and 2017.

In addition, processing efficiencies are reduced as the material is recycled. Formulated for addition to virgin PET and recycled PET (rPET), heat-stable ColorMatrix Optica blue toners work to correct and reduce the yellowing or color variation that typically occurs during the recycling process.

ColorMatrix™ Ultimate™ UV390R is a new ultraviolet (UV) absorbing additive technology suitable for both virgin and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) that allows less than 10% UV light transmission up to 395 nm and helps achieve improved bottle blowing with enhanced recyclability features, including less rPET yellowing.   Cesa™ Nox A4R Additives for Recycling can protect post-consumer polyolefins against oxidation, typically resulting in defects like black spots, gels, and discoloration.
