• Replace aluminium alloy
• Reduce thickness and weight of fan blade
• Withstand 920 Pa of static pressure, high relative humidity
(90-95%), and max temperature of 104ºF
• Redesigned the 1600mm blade utilizing 3D modeling and
mold flow analysis services from Avient Design
• Simulated mechanical load to determine which new
design would provide optimal performance
• Increased strength using a carbon fiber grade, enabling
injection-moldable parts and streamlined production
• Reduced blade thickness to 35% of the original and
blade weight from 7.71 lbs to 1.76 lbs (77% decrease)
• Improved overall efficiency of fan with a thinner, lighter
blade that cuts through the air

• Fire performance: CPR classification Dca s1 a1 d0 at a
thickness of 350µm
• Low shrinkage
• Water, UV, and chemical resistance
• Low coefficient of friction (CoF)
• Reduced overall cable weight cable by
reducing the jacket thickness from 550µm to
350µm
• Increased the lifetime value of the cable by
providing superior chemical and UV resistance
• Provided low CoF on the inner layer, making
the solution suitable for use with micro ducts
as it’s easier to blow cables inside

Defects like these may be minimized by using a textured or matte surfaced tool.
For high elongation SEBS grades, hot runner tools with valve gates can be used.
SEBS TPEs are more heat stable and have been used successfully in well-designed hot runner tools.
