Colorant Chromatics™ PSU, PES and PPSU Masterbatches
Colors for High-Temperature Applications
Colorant Chromatics™ PSU/PES/PPSU colorants
are designed to color polysulfone (PSU),
polyethersulfone (PES), and polyphenylsulfone
(PPSU) resins used in high-temperature injection
molding and extrusion applications.
This sulfone line of masterbatches can
accommodate a range of high-temperature
application needs.
PPSU provides
the highest performance with superior impact
resistance, flame retardancy, and temperature
capabilities.

High flame performance and a low
dielectric constant keep our equipment safe and data
moving quickly.
THE IMPACT
When compared with FEP, Maxxam FR formulations offer
significant cost savings and improve processing ease.

First, the company
was using antimicrobial additives that required high
let-down ratios (LDR).
THE IMPACT
Avient was able to reduce lead time on these newly
developed additives by a week versus the original
supplier, enabling this customer to better manage
and control inventory levels.

PROCESSING METHODOLOGIES EXPLAINED
Die Casting - Metals
Die casting is a type of metal casting process that
injects molten metal into a mold cavity under high
pressure.
This can lead to higher tooling costs
for high-volume programs.
Though the upfront
tooling costs can be high, the investment can yield a
life expectancy of 100,000 to over 1 million cycles.

Reliance on Materials of Low Residual Value
The environmental and economic impacts of a material can vary greatly.
The report also identifies strategies for nearly doubling that figure to
17% by 2030 by identifying sectors with a high potential for change.
Industries should also develop action plans for
transitioning to sustainable energies and materials that can retain
a high value in the post-consumer market.
