ANTIMICROBIAL
Antimicrobial additives are important for
nonwoven fabrics used in PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment) and healthcare
applications.
Avient’s white colorants for
nonwovens are formulated to offer low addition
rates, efficient processing, and are approved by
major brand owners in the hygiene industry.

ColorMatrix works
closely with customers to model usage rates
and to ensure that dosing of Ultimate UV is
optimized and product protection is assured
for the required technology of the product.
Applications
The Ultimate UV range can help extend shelf life
for UV sensitive food, beverage, personal care
and home cleaning products packaged in a wide
range of thicknesses of PET containers.

All of these methods are good options to combine materials however
they are limiting when it comes to productivity rate because of the secondary
process involved.
Molding TPE at higher processing temperatures helps in wetting out of
elastomer to the engineering substrate and improves adhesion performance but
it is interesting to observe that the products developed at GLS had better
adhesion even though they were processed colder than other commercially
available TPE materials.
The developed overmolds TPE compounds have already been used to make
parts for a number of application areas i.e., personal care, hand held-electronics,
powertools and housewares.
