Stepping Up to Meet Local Needs Our teams in Bangkok and Phan Thong, Thailand, organized an event to support the local Lorenzo Child Center. During the activity, the team collected over 200 pounds of rubbish from the creek banks and donated new parking signs to improve this valued community resource. Brightening up the Holidays for Our Neighbors For the 18th consecutive year, our Community Service Team at the Avient Headquarters collected donations to support our neighbors in need during the holidays.

The search led Kruunutekniikka’s design engineering team to Avient. October 18, 2022 DÜSSELDORF, Germany – October 18, 2022 – Avient Corporation today announced a new collaborative success with L’Oréal that will be on display at the upcoming K 2022. Mars Otomotiv’s engineering team was on the hot seat.  As part of their search for an alternative, Mars Otomotiv’s engineers met with Avient to explore non-metal options for the part. Again working in tandem, the Mars Otomotiv engineers and Avient’s technical team were able to alter the mold so it could process the thermoplastic in place of aluminum.

That’s why the manufacturer’s technical team hoped to find a single-layer material to jacket and insulate the wire. The engineering team conferred with Avient to find a material that could meet the stringent requirements. With nothing clearly available in the market, the teams worked to develop an entirely new solution: Syncure™ Solar, a single-layer jacketing and insulation material made of cross-linked polyethylene. 

Pro Forma Financial Information The Company acquired Avient Protective Materials (“Dyneema”) on September 1, 2022 (the “Acquisition Date”) and sold the Distribution segment on November 1, 2022.
