Storage and Handling of Vinyl Plastisols A vinyl plastisol is a liquid dispersion of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins, plasticizers, and miscellaneous additives. When baked, this liquid plastic becomes a fused solid plastic. In smaller quantities, the presence of water may create cloudiness in fused parts, especially those parts produced from clear or transparent plastisols.

Its benefits are realized only with transparent preforms in a 2-stage injection stretch blow-molding process. It can be supplied as a stand-alone product or as a combination product, where it can be incorporated into a liquid color, acetaldehyde scavenger, or UV light barrier additive.
