This latest addition to the Additives for Recycling (A4R) portfolio of solutions helps bring incompatible polymers, such as PP and PE, together by forming them into a homogenous polymer mixture that increases mechanical properties based on polymer modification and will be exhibited at the upcoming Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing. When added to the recycled mixed polymers, Cesa Unify A4R addresses the common material degradation that occurs during the recycling process. It accomplishes this by increasing stiffness and mechanical strength, thereby bringing the material's properties closer to those of the virgin polymer.

Traditional vulcanized rubber products require application of adhesives to bond to the closure, and this adhesive bond has a greater potential for failure than the chemical bond formed between a TPE and  polymer substrate.
