These patent-pending formulations offer improved chemical resistance compared to traditional flame-resistant (FR) polymers. The new range contains shades commonly used in medical devices: yellow, mid and dark grey, mid green, light and dark blue, white, and black. The bio-based content of the polymers varies between 70 and 100% depending on the polymer.

For further environmental protection, the new Edgetek™ PKE materials include an NHFR additive, providing flame retardant performance to the UL94 V0 standard.

Sortable Black Colorants Black plastic can be challenging to detect by infrared sensors during the sorting process resulting in the plastic being directed to waste instead of the relevant recycled polymer stream. This is mainly due to carbon black content. These colorants originally developed for black packaging can be used for the black and dark coloration of appliance plastic parts to ensure they are recycled and not wasted.
