There are various types of polyamides, such as Nylon 6, Nylon 66, Nylon 12, Nylon 6, 12 and their copolymers.
As an example, most TPEs do not bond effectively to heat stabilized grade polyamide 6 (HS).
NYLON MOLDING PROCESS Bonding is also affected by mold design and nylon molding conditions.

New Edgetek™ and LubriOne™ PKE Materials from Avient Replace Nylon and Acetal, Reduce Carbon Footprint
CLEVELAND – March 11, 2021 – Avient today launched two new materials based on polyketone (PK) that deliver comparable performance and lower production-related CO2 levels than nylon (PA66 and PA6) and acetal (POM).
Developed in response to current nylon supply constraints, the new Edgetek™ PKE and LubriOne™ PKE series provide performance similar to PA66 and PA6.

Avient Introduces Durable Orange Nylon Colorants for High Voltage Electrical Vehicle (EV) Connectors
Avient Introduces durable orange nylon colorants for High Voltage Electrical Vehicle (EV) Connectors, combining high heat and long-term color stability against fading in glass-filled PA6 and PA66 systems without compromising flame retardancy or mechanical performance.
In thermal aging tests at up to 130°C for 1,000 hours, products made with OnColor durable orange nylon colorants achieved improved results compared to similar orange colorants against long-term fading resistance while meeting customer requirements of no migration and low volatility.
