Also, we ranked 37th among the 1,000 largest U.S. public companies in Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies of 2023.
We recently set a goal to complete 100% of risk assessments on hazardous materials greater than 1 ton by 2025.
In 2022, we were able to further optimize operations through executing over 100 waste minimization projects around the world.

· By 2030, Avient will enable 100% of our products manufactured for packaging applications to be recyclable or reusable to advance the circular economy, for which approximately 90% of Avient’s products met this criteria in 2020.
Additional renewable energy will still be needed in Europe to offset the related grid emissions as will we also need to identify similar outlets in the Americas and Asia Pacific. · By 2030, Avient will obtain directly or contract for 60% of its electricity demand from renewable sources and achieve 100% renewable energy by 2050. · We have established a product carbon footprint team that focuses on providing product-specific carbon footprint metrics based on where and how the product is manufactured. · Our position in enabling the use of recycled materials, bio-renewable solutions, renewable energy, or energy reductions requires manufacturing in a manner and light weighting of transportation vehicles so that they contribute to more efficient value chains and accelerated lower-carbon transitions for our customers. · In 2021, we delivered $915 million in sustainable solutions sales, as defined using critieria aligned with the FTC 2012 Guide for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims. · We are evaluating our Asia Pacific go-to-market strategy, especially in China.

A discussion of the EPA-registered biocide ZPT will be included as well as a study to evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy and resulting material properties for a variety of commercial thermoplas- tic elastomer (TPE) compounds containing ZPT. 2 | EXPERIMENTS Microbial susceptibility screening for 25 different commercially available polymers and/or compounds was performed on injection-molded samples using a BOY 90E, 100-ton press (Boy Ltd., Rushden, Northants).
However, it should be noted that these resins still exhibited bacterial growth (>100 visible colonies) prior to the washing and did not reduce bacterial growth during JIS Z2801 testing (Figure S1).
All substrates also exhibited heavy bacterial growth (>100 colonies) prior to washing during ASTM E1428-15a pink stain testing, with only PEI and polysulfone demonstrating resistance to staining (Figure 1; Table S1).

• Design freedom = unique product offering: The ability to injection mold Gravi-Tech materials instead of machining brass enabled API to design a cost-effective, full-opening flapper valve that is 100% pigable. • High performance = customer satisfaction: The PolyChek valve gives API’s customers the ability to create all-plastic piping systems that eliminate leakage and weak spots. • Elimination of lead = increased safety and compliance: Replacing brass with Gravi-Tech high-density formulations eliminates health and safety concerns about lead. • Use of existing tooling = lower capital costs: API was able to use the same mold originally designed for nylon to run the Gravi-Tech materials, saving the substantial costs of retooling.
