Adapter made from TPEs helps consumers avoid overmedicating The shell would be made with a custom-formulated Synprene™ thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) blend that provides resistance to most common medications and is flexible enough for the fins to work as designed. The membrane would be made from a custom-engineered GLS™ Dynaflex™ TPE overmolded onto the shell.

The Good Duck is marketed as PVC free, phthalate free and BHA free, and also features two PolyOne technologies: customized GLS™ TPE materials and OnColor™ colorants.  PolyOne developed an ultra-soft version of its GLS™ TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) approved for food contact and medical applications, and included non-toxic PolyOne colorants.  The Good Duck™ is blow-molded from an ultra-soft TPE and uses non-toxic molded-in colorants from PolyOne.
