Fabrics made with CESA fiber additives can absorb more heat when exposed to solar rays.
CESA fiber additives are intended for use in applications including clothing, home textiles and technical fabrics for thermal insulation.

MEETING FR GOALS IN DATA CABLES WITH AN
ALTERNATIVE TO FEP
Maxxam FR materials can provide cost savings and improved
processing capabilities when used in category 5e cables
and above.
Not only is the material costly,
it can also be challenging to process and use in thin wall
cable applications.

Most films used in food packaging
are either totally olefinic (polyethylene or
polypropylene) or have multilayer structures
in which the inner polymer surface is olefinic.
In 2010, Avient introduced the first anti-fog additive
for polypropylene films that enabled anti-fog
sealant film conversion without the need for
surface treatment.
But some anti-fogs performed
better than others, no matter the adhesive used.

Next, the materials team formulated a grade that would offer
enough heat resistance to be overmolded onto polypropylene,
the underlying rigid material.
Finally, the OnFlex-S HF grade
was developed to bond sufficiently and be chemically
compatible with polypropylene.
In addition, this material can be used in tools originally
constructed for halogenated materials with no rework
required.

Polypropylene which is normally the continuous phase in a TPV does not lend itself for functional modifications
needed to meet the adhesion requirements for a wide variety of engineering thermoplastics that are being used
in the consumer market.
As an example, a styrenic TPE or an olefinic TPE molded on to polypropylene as the
substrate can have an interface.
TPEs in
Table 4 are styrenic materials where as TPVs are the dynamic vulcanizates of polypropylene and EPDM.
