LUXEMBOURG – October 12, 2021 – Avient Corporation, a premier provider of specialized and sustainable material solutions and services, today unveiled new bio-filled polymer grades at the international trade fair for plastics processing, Fakuma.
Nymax™ PIR post-industrial recycled nylon formulations: This portfolio features standard and custom-formulated nylon 66 and nylon 6 grades.
Standard grades contain from 20 to 100 percent recycled content.

This is in addition to 20% to 70% recycled content in previously launched grades, all delivering mechanical properties comparable to virgin PC.
The Edgetek REC PC portfolio includes unfilled and glass-filled grades of rPC, rPC/PBT, and rPC/ABS blends, with glass fiber content ranging from 10% to 30%.
With colorability in virtually all colors and shades enabled by the high quality of the PCR source, these materials are available as precolored compounds or as natural grades, which are colorable and recommended for use with Avient’s OnColor™ Color Masterbatches for PC.

Six standard grades are available, ranging in hardness levels from 40 – 85 Shore A.

The new 4020G grade offers up to 50 percent lower haze and reduced impact on the PET recycle stream compared to previous grades, while maintaining the same reliable active oxygen scavenging performance.
PolyOne testing shows that ColorMatrix Amosorb 4020G is one of the most robust oxygen scavengers for PET rigid containers, with negligible effects on efficacy for the rPET grades tested, while other competitive materials lost almost all oxygen scavenging ability with rPET content as low as 20 percent.
