Indefinite-lived Intangible Assets • Indefinite-lived intangible assets represent trade names associated with acquired companies. • We estimate the fair value of trade names using a “relief from royalty payments” approach. Finite-lived intangible assets, which consist primarily of customer relationships, patents and technology are amortized over their estimated useful lives. The remaining useful lives range up to 20 years.
