European PET Bottle Platform Technical Opinion Amosorb Oxyloop-1 from Avient 1/1 Brussels, May 26th, 2025 " The Technical Committee of the European PET Bottle Platform (EPBP) was requested to assess the effect of: Amosorb Oxyloop-1 from Avient on the quality of recycled PET bottles streams. The application refers to a Polyester based oxygen scavenger Barrier for PET Bottles Based on the EPBP assessment outcome and current market knowledge, the European PET Bottle Platform (EPBP) concludes that: Amosorb Oxyloop-1 from Avient will not have a negative impact on current European PET Coloured Bottles Recycling and have awarded an endorsement for a concentration of Amosorb Oxyloop-1 oxygen scavenger in the PET bottle up to 3%, by weight, combined with a market penetration up to 8%. Upon prior notice to Avient the EPBP reserves the right to update and change the conditions of this technical opinion at any time in accordance with the most recent technologies, assessments and experience.
