For applications requiring color or toning,
SmartHeat RHC is also available as ColorMatrix
Optica™ Toners & Colors for Enhanced Recyclability.
A typical remedy, adding toners and colorants, can have a detrimental effect on the brightness of the final
product.
SmartHeat RHC allows for optimization
of polymer weight distribution within
the PET bottle.

It also minimizes the color and haze challenges due to inconsistencies in rPET quality, in fact, bottles produced with ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ 4020R, in combination with rPET content, show minimal colour degradation when processed through existing recycle streams.
This high-tech facility is helping us to understand the chemistry of polymers in the mechanical recycling process to see how and where problems occur.

Instead, the outer glass is recycled and the PVB is reclaimed and reprocessed for various uses, including an alternative raw material source for polymers.
Both injection moldable TPEs can be overmolded to polypropylene (PP) and come in a natural grade that can be easily colored.

These polymers, together with Avient’s application design and prototyping services, allow for faster prototyping and shorter lead times compared to ceramics traditionally used in telecom applications.
Injection moldable and colorable, PREPERM materials are available globally.

The activation changes the
molecular structure of these
additives, causing a color change
that provides the vivid contrast
of laser marking.
The mark can be white
or dark in color.
Avient has experience formulating Cesa Laser
Marking Additives that can work with a wide
variety of polymers and processes, including
injection molding, blow molding and extrusion.

Here are a few points to consider when designing part molds for styrene-ethylene/butylenestyrene polymer based TPEs (SEBS TPEs), or styrene-butadiene-styrene polymer based TPEs (SBS TPEs):
In parts that fill from a thin wall to a thick section, the polymer may break away from the wall as it enters the thick section.
The gates on these types of molds should have as short a land length as possible to create high stress concentrations.
