This latest addition to the Additives for Recycling (A4R) portfolio of solutions helps bring incompatible polymers, such as PP and PE, together by forming them into a homogenous polymer mixture that increases mechanical properties based on polymer modification and will be exhibited at the upcoming Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing. This compatibilizer additive can help overcome some of these challenges, allowing industry players to continue incorporating greater quantities of PCR in polyolefin applications. Cesa Unify A4R is a compatibilizer additive for use with recycled polyolefins, which helps enhance circularity.

DŰSSELDORF, Germany – PolyOne today announced the addition of new specialty engineered materials’ production at its facility in Pune, India. Local production, which is expected to begin in January 2017, enables PolyOne to support customers with specially engineered materials in addition to the color and additive concentrates already produced domestically in India. Colorants and additives produced here serve multiple end-use markets, including transportation, electronics & electrical, healthcare, wire & cable, and packaging.

Active and passive oxygen barriers are additives that are broadly used in the PET bottle industry, across the value chain; they guarantee the optimal shelf life of packaged goods such as beer, juices, RTD beverages, or condiments, to name a few. The ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ product line currently offers a wide range of masterbatch grades that can be used to address the needs of different beverages or foods in terms of protection from oxygen ingress. The regrind combination study also showed how retention of original standard amber tone could be closely maintained with very minimal addition of Fortis-Amber 1, even after a dilution with 50% vPET of material coming from original packaging articles, with or without the further addition of SolO2-2.
