While heavier weight can increase fatigue, if it
is strategically and correctly placed, additional
weight can improve dexterity .
Therefore, these gains had to
be balanced (or ponderated, where the results
are weighted against a standard) as a function of
the frequency at which they occurred in order to
understand the true impacts on health and safety .
When the accelerated
gains were weighted as a function of the frequency,
the polymer handle had either a similar accelerated
gain (ISO 5346-1:2001) or a lower gain that reduced
the risk (ISO 18570:2017) .
