THE SOLUTION The Avient team proposed multiple solutions—including a laser-marking additive, an authentication additive, and colorant—bundled into a single Smartbatch™ concentrate. THE IMPACT After the test, the manufacturer incorporated the Smartbatch™ four-feature formulation into its polymer compound.

The Solution With nothing clearly available in the market, the teams worked to develop an entirely new solution: Syncure™ Solar, a single-layer jacketing and insulation material made of cross-linked polyethylene.
