In order to have a masterbatch recognized by UL, the following conditions must be met: • the color concentrate producer must be recognized by UL • the polymer, generic or specific, must be recognized as well • the recognition of the material combination (base resin + color concentrate) must be listed in the QMSQ2 file of the concentrate producer • the specification limits set in the QMQS2 file must be respected if the UL94 recognition is to apply to the final plastic part Avient has a wide range of color and cost options available to provide maximum flexibility.
For most updated information please refer to Avient UL recognized color concentrate file QMQS2 E73454.

The substrate is locked in its place on wheel in order to maintain the 90o angle while the elastomer is being pulled.
It is important to understand that the material does not really change hardness and it is only the feel on the surface that is influenced by the skin thickness.

Over the years, many rigid thermoplastics have been utilized with this hard/soft design in order for specific performance and additional value.
The substrate is locked in its place on wheels in order to maintain the 90o angle as the elastomer is pulled.

In order to create the most appropriate anti-fog additives for different types of films, research was commissioned into potential interactions between anti-fog additives in polyethylene (BOPE) films and the bi-component adhesives used in the lamination of biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) to a PE film.
Firstly, the additive had to be compatible with the polymer system, but at the same time it needed to be able to migrate to the surface of the film over time, in order to provide a consistent and long-lasting anti-fogging effect.
