Ultra-fast Visualization and Choice: Infinite color options via a cloud-based color library with up-to-the-minute performance, regulatory, and pricing information at the start of the color development process. Each custom colorant formulated in the new system relies on an array of globally standardized base-sets that are compatible with PET and polyolefin end-use applications. Standardized base-sets for other polymers are currently under development.

CLEVELAND – PolyOne today announced development of reSound™ NF reinforced materials, based on an eco-conscious, natural fiber-filled technology. Developed for advanced applications in transportation, these materials contain a minimum of 30% bio-based content, and are in current evaluations at several key automotive OEMs. New reSound NF solutions are based on polypropylene chemistry. 

Like other polyketone-based Complēt PKE products, these new fire-retardant formulations offer high-impact performance, excellent chemical resistance, and low moisture uptake. These glass-filled Complēt PKE FR grades are formulated without PFAS-based raw materials, providing alternatives amid growing regulatory guidelines for these chemicals. Secondly, the use of the polyketone base resin offers a reduced product carbon footprint (PCF) compared to competitive nylon (PA) base resins (PA), helping to improve sustainability throughout the product life cycle.
