Caption: Avient’s ColorForward 2024 predicts consumers to prefer more harmonious colors with a splash of exuberance in 2024  Now in its 18th edition, the forecasting guide includes a palette of 20 colors and effects selected by a group of color, marketing, and social trend experts. They then select colors and effects that are likely to be consumers’ preferred color choices in 2024 based on these trends.

The team assigned five colors and/or color effects to represent key elements of each trend for a total of 20 trend-based colors. The colors in this palette are mostly cool, transparent, and in a couple of cases, fluorescent, plus a random splash effect to represent growing acceptance of the medical use of certain psychoactive substances. The most eclectic family of colors, including transparent, metallic, interferential, and special effects, is assigned to Meet-your-verse, a trend that recognizes the emerging influence of “The Metaverse.”
