GHS generally requires more information on the hazards of chemicals to be included on an SDS, and requires it in a different format, so GHS SDSs are generally longer than before.
Why we are doing this in early 2014: GHS format for mixtures of chemicals will be a requirement in the U.S. and European Union in June 2015, but is already a reality in much of the world.

The problem is that most polymer housings are not able to resist the chemicals involved in this treatment without cracking.
The manufacturer was struggling to find a replacement material with excellent chemical resistance and a high flame retardant rating.
