Composition Large furnaces are used to melt silica sand, limestone, and various other minerals to liquid form. The liquid is then extruded through bushings and are coated (sized) to help bundle the filaments and prepare the fibers for composite resin interface.

Waste reduction: A disposable bladder within the collapsible tote can help minimize concern surrounding liquid residue that could be hazardous. Compared to traditional IBC totes, the liquid is more efficiently evacuated through use of a winder, thereby reducing residual waste and leading to added cost savings.

The new fiber colorant technology combines ColorMatrix liquid concentrates and proprietary high-pressure metering equipment to enable late-stage color injection during melt extrusion spin coloring. Adding liquid color downstream minimizes color contamination, reducing clean out and color change time.
