Formulated for addition to virgin PET and recycled PET (rPET), heat-stable ColorMatrix Optica blue toners work to correct and reduce the yellowing or color variation that typically occurs during the recycling process. ColorMatrix Optica blue toners are formulated for injection molding and extrusion processes, and are commercially available in major global markets.

CLEVELAND – May 5, 2021 – Avient today announced the launch of ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ 4020R, a non-nylon-containing oxygen scavenger additive specifically formulated to enable the use of up to 100 percent recycled PET (rPET) content. ColorMatrix Amosorb 4020R has been formulated to address this performance issue, and is the latest in a portfolio of solutions Avient has developed to enable high-quality recycled packaging.

In Europe, new patent-pending grades are formulated using recovered materials such as recycled polypropylene, recycled oil, and recycled glass filler. The PIR grades are formulated with 20 to 60 percent recycled content and the PCR grades contain 9 to 39 percent recycled food packaging. 

Our new deep black colorants are formulated to help meet all of these needs and can be customized to achieve a specified deep black intensity in virgin and recycled polyester grades, making them suitable for different textile applications.”   The new deep black colorants are part of the Renol Fiber Colorants portfolio, a range of color concentrates specially formulated for dyeing synthetic yarns using the spin-dyeing (dope-dying) process.

The new Cesa stain-resistant solutions are innovative, additive concentrates that are formulated without fluorine-based raw materials and can prevent soils from setting in polyester fibers, enabling easy stain removal with common cleaners like wipes, sprays, or steamers. The additives are also formulated to be compatible with over-dyeing, allowing manufacturers to bath-dye or piece-dye polyester yarns and textiles containing Cesa stain-resistant concentrates without compromising the stain-resistance efficacy,” said Mauro Dallavalle, Sr.
