As demand for electrical and electronic content is
growing in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and robotics,
wire harness designs are more complex and their performance
requirements are increasing.
• FIBER-LINE® wire harness yarn allows you to produce thinner, lighter,
and more durable products.
Since our yarn are lighter and thinner
than metal, you can conserve more valuable space and provide
greater design flexibility.
• FIBER-LINE® high-performance fibers protect against thermal de-
gradation, resist harsh fluids, and add insulation.
• FIBER-LINE® Colorcoat™ replaces recently discontinued solution-
dyed products.

MATERIAL BREAKTHROUGH: VERSAFLEX™ CE BLUE JEAN STAIN RESISTANT
TPES FOR WHITE OR LIGHT-COLORED PHONE CASES
Phone case brands have struggled to design white or light-colored cases that do not stain when in contact
with blue jeans.
Avient has formulated a new material that offers blue jean stain resistance similar to that of silicone*, yet with
all the benefits of using a TPE: increased design freedom, an efficient supply chain leading to faster speed to
market, and lower total part costs.

The new formulation
surpasses all specifications
associated with the
BS 7655-6.1:1997 standard,
including the most stringent LTS1
classification, even for complex
designs and armored cables.
MARKETS AND APPLICATIONS
• Cable jackets for low and medium-voltage
power cables with metal armoring, typically
installed underground or where installation
requires them to be bent
• Armored cable applications that require
compliance with LTS1 requirements as per
the BS 7655-6.1 standard
IMPACT
• High environmental stress cracking resistance
• High tear strength and elongation at break at
temperatures ranging from -25°C to 90°C
• Flame retardant performance
• Limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 36%
• Exceeds BS 7655-6.1:1997 standard criteria
for LTS1–LTS4 for complex designs and
armored cables

Set up conditions
Configuration
- When starting to process a new resin, first
run through new preforms for 15 minutes at
‘standard’ conditions to establish steady state
conditions prior to any process optimization
- Slowly start to reduce preform blowing
temperatures until failures are present
(visible pearl internal wall or pearl feet)
- Increase blowing temperatures until defects
are eliminated
- QC check bottle quality for acceptance versus
established tolerances
- Change the power consumption profile in the
ovens for early heat and longer sink times but
ensure overall temperatures do not exceed cold
crystallization temperature
- Repeat temperature reduction stage and
then defect elimination stage to test if further
optimization is possible
- Recheck QC bottle quality for acceptance versus
established tolerances
- Log all process parameters and create new
specific ‘recipe’ for future use

ATO is only used as an industrial intermediate in manufacturing locations
designed for the handling of plastics and chemicals.
Environment
When used in an industrial setting, ATO is typically handled using engineered systems
designed to control releases from the facility.
