The Avient team quickly went to work formulating a custom OnCap™ Denesting additive solution, which was optimized to solve the issue of packaging trays sticking together while also delivering a consistent, easy release that exceeded the brand owner’s expectations.

THE SOLUTION The Avient technical team leveraged its expertise in liquid colorants and chemical additives to scientifically engineer its line of ColorMatrix™ Excelite™ chemical foaming additives (CFAs) for PVC processing.

We assembled internal Sustainability teams to drive initiatives and workstreams in order to meet these targets.

Each cradle brace is a two-foot long, rectangular bar with a “U” shape machined into our engineering team developed and analyzed three options: a unidirectional, hybrid carbon and glass fiber profile; a unidirectional carbon fiber profile; and finally, a profile made with both a unidirectional carbon fiber and a transverse engineered fabric, which had the advantage of minimizing any potential cracks from propagating.
