Polyamide (i.e. nylon) is preferred plastic in many high end applications due to its crystalline structure and high melting temperature.
TPE chemistry and the type of engineering plastic play a critical role in influencing wettability.
We have modified ASTM D903 method for plastics to evaluate the adhesion of soft TPE onto rigid thermoplastic.

https://www.avient.com/sites/default/files/2022-11/Packaging Anti-fog Whitepaper.pdf
Fogging on plastics films is really not all that different than the fog that forms outside; it’s just that, on a plastic film, fog forms on a convenient hydrophobic surface—namely, the film.
Water vapor in the form of tiny droplets condenses on a plastic film’s surface when an enclosed mass of air cools to a temperature at its dew point.
But plastics material systems are dynamic too.
