February 3, 2025 CLEVELAND – February 3, 2025 – Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, today announced the availability of Cesa™ WithStand™ SX Low Haze Antimicrobial Additives for clear polycarbonate and plexiglass applications.

These panels provide structural bullet-resistant reinforcement to meet UL 752 Level 3 ballistic rating for interior architectural surfaces and components at a lighter weight than traditional panel materials. They are available for protection up to UL 752 levels 1, 2, & 3 test standards for ballistic resistance.

Southern States’ ballistic-resistant solutions incorporate three layers of uniquely formulated GlasArmor composite panels to achieve Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Level 8 protection. Level 8 specifies protection against a 7.62 mm rifle using a lead core, full metal jacket 0.308 caliber copper military ball. Protection to UL 752 levels 1, 2, & 3 and NIJ Levels I, II, & IIIA test standards.
