Initially launched at the K Show in October 2022, Maxxam™ BIO bio-based polyolefins are formulated with both bio-based resin and/or filler from natural sources such as olive seed powder.
They can be based on either prime or bio-based resin.

Continuous fiber reinforced thermoset composites combine high molecular weight resins with glass or carbon fibers.
The resin has a lower tensile modulus than the reinforcement and will fracture at lower loads in this direction.

The PCR Color Prediction Service is Avient’s breakthrough digital tool for polyolefins and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins, launched in June 2022.

Carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP), or carbon fiber composites, are made by combining carbon fiber with a resin, such as vinyl ester or epoxy, to create a composite material that has higher performance properties than the individual materials alone.
Carbon fiber filaments can be woven to form a fabric or take permanent shape as a composite material when combined with a resin.
Due to the inherent corrosion resistance of thermoset resins, CFRP products do not rust or corrode and in turn have a longer product lifetime than typical metal materials.
