POLYSTRAND™ THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITES Tapes, Laminates & Panels Polystrand™ high performance composite tapes and laminates are made by combining thermoplastic polymers and continuous fibers to create continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) composites.
Polystrand composite panels are made with continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic face sheets thermally bonded or adhered to traditional core materials such as honeycomb, foam, aluminum, and nonwovens as reinforcement.
Standard and custom tapes, laminates, and panels are available in a variety of combinations of matrix resin systems including PP, PE, PETG, aPET, and PA6, and include fiber reinforcements such as E-Glass and S-Glass.

In solvolysis, the chain length of matrix polymers is reduced toward monomers while removing the matrix from the fibers so that both the fibers and matrix chemical products can be recovered.
Composites can be ground into small particles for use as engineered fillers or maintained at larger scales where fibers remain of reasonable length to be reused as fiber reinforcement in their next life.
To make composites more circular, explore a variety of fibers and a range of resins.
