For specific interactions to occur between the TPE and the substrate both have to come in intimate contact to each other and wet-out the surface.
Molding TPE at higher processing temperatures helps in wetting out of elastomer to the engineering substrate and improves adhesion performance but it is interesting to observe that the products developed at GLS had better adhesion even though they were processed colder than other commercially available TPE materials.
