reSound™ REC Recycled Content Thermoplastic Elastomers can help brand owners create sustainable end-user products, with formulations utilizing up to 83% recycled content for consumer and transportation industries.
Complēt™ Long Fiber Reinforced Structural Thermoplastics are injection molded composites with structural properties, able to replace metal and lightweight parts.
Andrew Donovan, Avient Technology Group Lead, will discuss recycled content thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) for automotive interiors at the Circular Economy Summit on Wednesday, November 8, from 11:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Palacio de Iturbide, room 3.

MANNHEIM, Germany – PolyOne unveiled new OnFlex™ LO thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) today at the VDI Plastics in Automotive Engineering Conference (Stand 83A).
While our existing TPEs lead the industry in low emissions performance, we continue to innovate and anticipate future demands and stricter requirements.
PolyOne tested OnFlex LO TPE against its existing TPEs according to VDA 278 standard for VOCs and fog, and VDA 270 standard for odor.

Using phase barriers made of Avient’s OnFlex™ S HF, HF 7001, and Synprene or Synprene™ RT
thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) will help you deliver on that promise.
Easier to install – Our TPEs are more flexible than
nylon and flexible PVC, which makes the MCCB
easier to install, service and inspect.
Low moisture absorption – While nylon is water-
absorbent and loses dielectric performance in the
presence of excessive water, our TPEs exhibit low
moisture absorption and maintain the necessary
dielectric properties over the MCCB’s service life.

The Brooks design team members turned to Avient for help developing a solution that would work seamlessly with Brooks’ proprietary TPE blend used in the shoe's midsoles.
Working together, teams from both companies created a customized TPE material that matched the performance of the Brooks TPE blend.

reSound™ OM Thermoplastic Elastomers
Bio-based TPEs Deliver on Performance
Designed to support sustainability goals, the
reSound OM TPE formulations utilize between
40 and 50 percent bio-renewable content derived
from sugarcane and offer hardness levels and
property retention comparable to traditional
petroleum-based TPEs.
Available in four overmolding grades compatible
with polypropylene (PP), and one grade that is
suited for overmolding onto ABS, all grades are
formulated for durability, delivering property
retention and UV resistance comparable to
traditional TPEs.
