CLEVELAND – October 25, 2021 – Avient today introduced its Edgetek™ Toughened polyphthalamide (PPA) formulations, offering improved heat performance and low moisture absorption versus nylon 66 (PA66) for demanding applications.
With a slower moisture absorption rate than PA66, they also help to improve durability and long-term performance.

These formulations feature nylon 6 and 6/6 with delayed moisture absorption, which prolongs the effectiveness of their structural performance in moisture-rich environments.
Complēt moisture-resistant nylon 6 and 6/6 grades are globally available in several fiber loading levels (weight percentages) using long glass fiber, long carbon fiber, or hybrid combinations.
